On September 17-18, a university delegation led by Mr. Zuo Qun, Member of the University Party Committee and Vice President, visited Shanghai to attend the Huawei Connect 2025 conference. During the event, they held in-depth discussions with representatives from Huawei's Government and Enterprise Business Group on potential technological collaboration and talent development initiatives. The visit also included stops at several enterprises founded or managed by Shanghai-based alumni, strengthening ties between the university and its graduate community. The delegation included heads of the Academic Affairs Office, the Admissions and Career Guidance Office, and the Modern Industrial College of Electronics and Information.

At the HC2025 conference, the delegation participated in keynote sessions and visited the technology exhibition. They focused on Huawei's latest research breakthroughs, particularly the application scenarios and future potential of ultra-node interconnect technology. In the product demonstration area, the group conducted targeted research on "AI in Education," examining Huawei's solutions for intelligent teaching systems and personalized learning platforms. These insights will inform the university's efforts to integrate AI into teaching methodologies and refine its talent development model.

During the conference, Professor Xie Xiaoyun, Executive Dean of the university's Modern Industrial College of Electronics and Information, was invited to participate in a roundtable titled "Full-Stack Technical Capabilities: Empowering Talent Cultivation for New Quality Productive Forces." Dean Xie shared the university's experience in fostering industry-education integration and collaborative talent training through its industrial college model, drawing interest from representatives of 27 universities across 18 countries and regions. The discussions also covered AI-driven educational innovation, defining applied talent training, and aligning curricula with industry needs, broadening the international perspective of the university's approach.

The delegation also visited alumni enterprises, including Shanghai Sunmi Technology Co., Ltd. and Shanghai Jinghuheng Law Firm, for meetings with alumni in the city. Vice President Zuo Qun detailed the university's recent progress in discipline development, scientific research, and talent cultivation. The alumni expressed great pride in their alma mater's achievements and shared their commitment to supporting the university through industry-academia cooperation, graduate employment opportunities, and the development of internship programs. These engagements reinforced the connection between the university and its alumni, enhancing their sense of belonging and laying a solid foundation for future collaboration.
