Gannan University of Science and Technology (GNUST) locates  in Ganzhou city of the southern part of China and the upper reaches of Ganjiang River, is also called Gannan, which is a well-known state-listed historical cultural city, an outstanding tourist city of China, a national model in hygiene, greening and public security.

Mineral  Resources  in  Ganzhou  are   predominant  in   non-ferrous  metal  ores  and   rare metal-sores, and Ganzhou is known as “The Tungsten Capital of the World” and “ Kingdom of Rare Earth”. Ganzhou city is a famous historical and cultural city, including many cultural sites of Song Dynasty, such as the Song Dynasty ancient wall, Bajing Terrace, Yugu Tower, Ganzhou Confucian temple, Tongtianyan. It is well-known for the Songcheng of the southern China. Besides,  Ganzhou  city   is  a  famous  traditional   revolution   area  in  China,  the   provisional government of the Ruijin Soviet Republic during the period of the Second Revolutionary Civil War, having the reputation of being “the former red capital” and “the cradle of the People’s Republic of China”.

Gannan University of Science and Technology is a public undergraduate university officially approved by Ministry of Education. Managed by Jiangxi Provincial People's Government and established by Ganzhou Municipal People's Government, it traces its roots back to College of Applied Science, Jiangxi University of Science and Technology. Currently, GNUST encompasses seven major disciplines: engineering, economics, management, literature, law, art, and education. Upholding the principles of integrity, innovation, and open - door education, GNUST pursues diversified integration and actively promotes international exchanges and cooperation. It has successively engaged in exchanges and cooperation with regions in North America, Europe, Asia, and Oceania, covering areas such as teacher - student education, short - term exchanges, and faculty visits. Portuguese Teacher Wanted

1. Portuguese: Native speaker.

2. Health Condition: Applicants should be in good health condition, and no mental illness.

3. Personality: Interested in Chinese culture and language; A passion for teaching, dedication to students; Friendly manner; Open-minded and good communication skills; Easy-going.

4. No criminal records on file. (A non-criminal record procured by the police station of teachers’ residence country is necessary for applying the working permit in China) .

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree or above in any discipline. An Portuguese or Education degree is considered preferred.

2. TESOL, TEFL or CELTA diploma, Pass at C grade or above

3. Minimum of 2 years’ Portuguese teaching experience preferred

Offerings:

1. Base Salary: 8,000-10,000 Yuan per month depending on your qualification. Contract is from Sept. 2025 to Jun. 2026.

2. Fully paid winter vacation; summer vacation will be paid (8000Yuan/month) if the teacher renews the contract

3. International Travelling Allowance: 12,200 Yuan per year (Need to deduct the tax)

4. Free accommodation: private furnished apartment on campus.

5. Overall Monthly Salary: RMB 9,220 – 11,220/month

Benefits:

1. Basic workload: 16 teaching periods per week. Overtime payments if teaches exceed basic working hours,100 Yuan per hour for the overtime payment, and will be calculated and paid together at the end of each semester. (Need to deduct the tax)
